Michael started his career in finance as a CPA after completing his undergraduate degree from Davidson College, and then a master’s degree in accounting from East Carolina University.  During his time as a CPA, he developed the desire to serve clients in a more holistic way than only focusing on taxes.  This led him to pursue financial planning.  Michael desires to help clients achieve the goals they have in every stage of life.  He finds much joy and satisfaction from partnering with clients to help make their goals in life a reality.

Michael’s Christian faith is central to who he is, and greatly impacts his approach to financial planning.  Michael and his family are active members at the of the Summit Church – Capital Hills Campus.  He is married to his best friend, Katie, and together they have two beautiful girls.  Along with spending time with his wife and children, he tries to be outside as much as possible.  Outside of being a dad, Michael’s passions are golf, hunting, and cooking.
